Finchampstead, BerkshireAmerican Red Ale

The beer that started it all for Elusive (Berkshire), being one of the founder's homebrew recipes. Six different malts interplay wonderfully with Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial hops for supreme balance.

Rudgwick, West SussexBest Bitter

By far the most popular ale at the Sportsman and the only constant of our festival. A revival of the old King and Barnes best bitter, still brewed by the same family at our local Firebird brewery. Gluten free.

Cheriton, HampshireOatmeal Stout

Final brew on their original Cheriton kit as they start the build of their shiny new brewhouse and enlarge the traditional open fermentation tanks. It’s “Over and Stout” for the current vessels.

Historically most beer would have been smoky due to the malting process. This old ale from Gosport, made with a complex blend of smoked and non-smoked malts, was brewed to order for our festival!

From Scotland, a clean blonde ale featuring U.S. Krush and Columbus hops for light aromas of juicy fruit and resinous pine, finished with a small amount of N.Z. Nelson Sauvin for a bright fruity note.

Brewed annually to coincide with the lambing season at the Sussex farm where Three Acre are based. A crisp, malty ale with a subtle honey-like sweetness and floral aromas. Springtime in a glass.

Zwickl, a variant of Kellerbier, is a traditional German/Austrian style of naturally conditioned cloudy lager (predating modern pasteurisation and filtration) that is typically served directly from the cask.

A complex blend of 5 different malts with East Kent Goldings and Progress hops both in the copper and dry hopped. A juicy fruit aroma, slightly floral yet not so much as to overpower the delicious aromatic malty notes. Gently bitter, mouth filling malt with the classic Goldings finish

This Devon brewery, renowned for its lagers, has just released this smooth, silky and malty brown ale, perfect for this time of year. Expect sweet malts, hints of raisins and plenty of light bitterness.
