We teamed up with Emperor's Brewery for this big barley wine, and of course, in true Emperor's style this was always going to be something dark and a bit special. Upfront there are big thick chewy dark malts which give a warming full bodied chocolate character and these are joined in the background by a little zingy ginger. The finish is celebrated with a moderate bitterness, some warming alcohol and a little chocolate goodness from the addition of cocoa nibs.
